Job Title & Purpose

Purpose of the Job:

• AM / DM – Civil & Structural Engineering involving Civil and Structural Design Calculation including generation of detailed bill of quantities as needed during Tender engineering and detail engineering phase. Identify, develop, evaluate and introduce structural design solutions / arrangements for offerings / projects that meet plant structural engineering needs within the guidelines of applicable Standards, Specifications. Standardization and Development of Civil and Structural Design Calculation formats.

Mission

Responsibilities:

• To look after Civil and Structural Design activities of Power Plant and Wet FGD system’s equipment Foundations, Buildings, Support structures, Pipe Rack etc.
• Create layout drawing considering Mechanical BOI, Pipe & cable rack, drain, trench & customer basic plant layout.
• Create dimensional control drawing to freeze the Basic Engg activities for various equipment & structures.
• Create definition of parts and assemblies in the form of 2D cross sections, 2D drawings, 3D Tekla model, tolerance stack-ups, conceptualize iteration to support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, quality and inspection within expected cost, quality and schedule
• Preparation & review of General Arrangement, detail fabrication drawings and Civil Input drawings.
• Follow-up and checking interface data and performing clash checks etc. Prepare & review Bill of Material for OTR execution, and support product cost out and product standardization efforts
• Ensure that lessons learned from previous projects & tenders are known and utilized
• Ensure that key performance indicators like On Time Delivery, Right First Time, Direct Material Productivity are met
• Ensure continual productivity improvement through parametrization of tools in Tekla and automation of drawing generation.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, inspection & erection stage
• Support sourcing team in clarifying vendor requirements related to structural drawings.
• Implement global standards and common processes to assure consistent quality is delivered.
• Concurrently work on multiple projects and ensure program cost, quality and schedule
  requirements are met.

Job Requirements

• Civil Engineering degree (BE/ B Tech) with 10-12 years of Experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8+ years engineering experience in Basic & Detailed Engineering of Civil and Structural work.
• Hands on and working knowledge of STAAD, TEKLA, AutoCAD etc.
• Hands on and working experience in 3D model & drawing generation of Power plants using Tekla.
• Expertise with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience working in multi-functional engineering teams focused on basic design & detailed engineering activities for power, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar type project execution
  efforts.
• Knowledge & working experience on Air Quality Control Systems
• Working knowledge of software programming/tool development using latest programing
  languages.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of Indian & International (AISC, Euro, DIN, JIS, GB etc.) Standards related to Structural Engineering
• Candidate with experience in high alloy linings such as Wall papering, Cladding etc. in AQCS products is highly preferred.

• Experience and knowledge of civil design, structural & Tender work etc.
• Should be familiar with different IS codes, CPWD specification, rate analysis.
• Successful track record of Civil and Structural engineering of power plant projects i.e. Power Plant, Wet FGD, ESP and other AQCS equipment, related to retrofit or green field Projects.
