Education Support and School Development Program : The school-focused CSR activity aims to support government and local schools through the provision of essential educational support such as learning materials, basic infrastructure improvements, hygiene and sanitation support, and awareness programs. The initiative seeks to enhance educational outcomes while encouraging regular school attendance.

NGSL's Women Empowerment through Sewing Machine Distribution : This CSR activity focuses on the distribution of sewing machines to identified women beneficiaries, particularly from economically weaker sections. The initiative is designed to enable women to establish home-based tailoring units or strengthen existing tailoring skills, fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance within the community.

A CSR activity was successfully carried out at the NTPC REL 325 MW Solar Project, Mohan Badodiya, benefiting Burlya Village School in District Shajapur. The initiative focused on supporting educational infrastructure and resources, reinforcing NGSL’s commitment to community development and improved learning opportunities.

NGSL is committed to preserving India’s rich cultural heritage by supporting initiatives in art, dance, and music. Through collaborations with organizations like Kala Vikas Kendra, NGSL promotes artistic excellence, nurtures talent, and ensures the continuity of cultural traditions for future generations.

As part of its commitment to social responsibility, NTPC GE Power Services Ltd. undertook a CSR initiative at Jhadeswari Special School, Jharsuguda, to support children with visual, hearing, and intellectual disabilities. The initiative focused on enhancing their learning and care environment, reinforcing NGSL’s dedication to inclusive education and holistic community development.

As part of NGSL’s ongoing CSR initiatives, the Balco (O&M – Vedanta Balco) team supported tribal women in Korba by enabling sustainable livelihood opportunities through skill development and asset distribution. This initiative empowers women with income-generating capabilities, fostering self-reliance, economic inclusion, and long-term community development.

NGSL, in partnership with the District Education Officer, supported the renovation of a Government Primary School in Jharsuguda, creating a safer and more nurturing learning environment. NGSL, in collaboration with Mai Hu Dhanbad and GVREL Panchet, inaugurated a new public toilet facility at GVREL, Panchet to enhance community hygiene and well-being. NGSL restored the Government Primary School in Jharsuguda through essential renovation works aimed at creating a safer and more conducive learning environment. NTPC GE Power Services Ltd. (IGSTPP, Jharli) conducted a CSR distribution drive for 2024–25 at Govt. Girls Primary School, Jhajjar, focusing on rural development and child care through the distribution of books, stationery, medical kits, and essential items for underprivileged children. As part of its broader CSR commitment, NGSL also drives initiatives like empowering women through skill development and, in collaboration with UPAY and Purbo Diganta Foundation, enabling digital learning by distributing laptops and educational support materials. Together, these efforts reflect NGSL’s dedication to inclusive growth, community upliftment, and sustainable social impact.

NTPC GE Service Ltd., in collaboration with Maa Prakriti Foundation, has established a free computer lab at Police Line, Shajapur to promote digital learning among local youth. This initiative aims to enhance access to technology, build essential digital skills, and create new opportunities for education and future growth within the community.
