Mr. Mahesh Kendhe is an accomplished energy sector professional with over 28 years of diverse experience in power generation, engineering, and industrial operations. He is currently associated with GE Power India Ltd., a GE Vernova group company, and has previously served senior roles at Thermax B&W and Reliance Industries Ltd. His expertise spans operational strategy, execution excellence, and business transformation. He brings a forward-looking approach focused on technology-driven growth and long-term value creation.
Mr. Mahesh Kendhe is a seasoned Energy professional with >28 years of rich & diverse professional experience. He is working with GE Power India Ltd., a GE Vernova group company and has previously served esteemed organizations like Thermax B&W & Reliance Industries Ltd. in various capacities.
During his professional journey, Mr. Mahesh has provided creative leadership to various function like plant O&M, EPC/Service Sales, Marketing, Commercial, Business Development, Product Management, Corporate Strategy, Innovation, Engineering R&D, Policy Advocacy etc. & delivered success to these organizations.
Mr. Mahesh is passionate about Sustainable Energy, ESG & achieving Circular economy and actively supports implementing future technologies leading to energy transition & decarbonization to address Climate Change effectively.
Mr. Mahesh is an alumnus of Management Development Institute (MDI)-Gurgaon, College of Engineering Pune (COEP) & has been professionally trained from Stanford University-USA.
Shri Mohammad Ashfaq is a postgraduate in Engineering from IIT Delhi and an alumnus of the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. He has over 33 years of rich and diverse experience with NTPC Limited, spanning key technical and corporate functions across the power sector.
During his distinguished association with NTPC, Shri Ashfaq has worked in several important areas, including Commissioning & Testing, Operations, CHP Maintenance and Corporate Planning, gaining extensive exposure to the sector’s technical and strategic functions.
He has also served as In-charge of the World Energy Council, an organisation working under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. From 2021 to 2024, he was entrusted with the additional responsibility of setting up the Power Foundation of India, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Power, as its Executive Director.
During this tenure, he served as Team Leader of the Support Group of ETWG and extended valuable support to the Ministry of Power in various activities related to the G20. He also served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MNGEPL, a joint venture between MAHAGENCO and NGEL.
With extensive experience in power sector operations, corporate planning, energy transition and policy-related initiatives, Shri Ashfaq brings a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic perspective and leadership experience.
Presently, Shri Mohammad Ashfaq serves as the Whole-Time Director of NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL), a 50:50 joint venture between NTPC Limited and GE Power India Limited.
NGSL is engaged in Renovation & Modernisation and Operations & Maintenance of power stations. It has also diversified into areas including FGD, Renewable Energy and other power-sector assignments.
With more than three decades of professional experience and wide exposure to the power sector, Shri Ashfaq provides strategic and operational leadership to support NGSL’s continued growth and diversification.
Ms. Sumitra Dhani is presently serving as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), NGSL, since August 2024. She has over 34 years of rich professional experience, including about 30 years with NTPC.
During her long association with NTPC, she has worked across various functional areas of Finance in different NTPC projects including Greenfield projects and has worked with NTPC’s Subsidiary engaged in power trading, gaining extensive experience in financial management across diverse operational environments.
Ms. Dhani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics and a member of ICWAI.
As CFO of NGSL, she is responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial management and reporting, strengthening financial controls and supporting strategic decision-making for sustainable growth of the company.
Ms. Dimpy Trikha is the Company Secretary at NGSL., with over 10 years of experience in corporate secretarial and compliance functions. She is a Commerce graduate from the University of Delhi and a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).
She has extensive experience in corporate governance, regulatory and statutory compliance, and advisory support. Her areas of expertise include SEBI and listing compliances, filings under the Companies Act and FEMA, board and committee governance, and ensuring adherence to best practices in transparency, compliance, and corporate ethics.
