Project Brief

  • Comprehensive overhauling of Unit 1 and Unit 2 (2 × 270 MW) at Sinnar Thermal Power Limited (STPL), part of the 5 × 270 MW thermal power plant located approximately 40 km from Nashik, Maharashtra.
  • Restoration of 540 MW stranded generation capacity, with the objective of restarting reliable power generation within a compressed implementation timeframe.
  • Execution of major Boiler-Turbine-Generator (BTG) packages, covering the critical equipment and systems associated with both generating units.
  • Overhauling of the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and related facilities required to support dependable and sustainable plant operations.
  • Comprehensive electrical system works associated with Unit 1 and Unit 2 to improve system readiness, reliability, and operational availability.
  • Inspection, overhauling, and restoration of instrumentation systems to enable accurate monitoring, effective control, and stable operation of both units.
  • Performance-focused implementation aimed at achieving stable operations with key parameters aligned with prudent utility benchmarks.
  • Enhancement of equipment reliability and plant availability through systematic restoration, overhauling, testing, and recommissioning of critical systems.
  • Establishment of a sustainable operational regime to support consistent generation and the long-term utilization of this strategically important power asset.
  • A major revival initiative under the NTPC–Mahagenco joint venture, supporting the efficient utilization of existing thermal generation infrastructure.
